Kayla during "naptime"

"Mom, can you take off my bracelet?" (referring to her necklace)

"Why?" I ask as I start taking it off.

"Because I don't want to be gorgeous anymore."

Ok sweetheart. But you're still gorgeous! =)

Preschool Jargon

Kayla coming home from preschool telling me about a science experiment:

K very excitedly: "We had water and cinnamon powder and soap and different juice and mixed it together and it sploated like a flamango!"

We've been reading a book where it says "a flamingo fluting in my ear" so I'm thinking this is what she is saying maybe. But what does a flamingo have to do with mixing things together?

Then I realize... it EXPLODED like a VOLCANO!

We were in Kayla's room. Me helping Kayla get dressed, Shawn bouncing on her bed and being crazy and silly.

Kayla looks at me smiling and half laughing and says, "He is de-licorice!"

"What?" I ask.

"He is being he-dickorish!" still smiling and laughing.

I finally get it and laugh and say, "yeah he is."

I think she means he's being ridiculous! haha
